All,
I received a letter from JBG Rosenfeld Retail
Properties' attorneys, Holland + Knight, announcing
that JBG Rosenfeld will be filing a Site Plan
application with the Planning Dep't./Planning Board in
early March 2008, "seeking approval to construct two
small pad site buildings along the Rockville Pike
frontage of the Pike Center Property. The two
proposed buildings will contain 6,000 square feet and
3,600 square feet of gross floor area respectively."
If you have questions please contact Pat Harris,
Holland &B Knight, at 301-215-6613 or by email at
patricia.harris@hklaw.com
If anyone can attend, please post a report to the
listserv.
Thanks.

All,
As part of the WF Sector Plan discussions, the
developers have paid for a consultant,
Glatting-Jackson, to come and speak with advisory
group membes and Planning Dep't. staff.
I met with them (Glatting staff Edward Erfurt and Ian
Lockwood) yesterday morning at the Federal Realty
offices. I also took Mr. Lockwood on a field trip
walking tour of parts of our neighborhood so they
could see on foot what it is like to, for ex., try to
cross OG.
One thing they said was they could stop the Montrose
Parkway and the cloverleaf. They said it was old
planning and not in keeping with new ideas of
connectivity (I am paraphrasing). I was quite
surprised as you can imagine.
This email is to take the pulse in our community. If
the developers go forward with this push, the Montrose
Parkway will now end behind La Madeline. That
property (Mid-Pike Plaza, i.e., the Toys R Us strip
mall) is owned by Federal Realty and slated for
redevelopment (high-density residential and
commercial/retail).
So, what do you think? Click here to let me know.
thanks,
Paula
